The program “Advanced Diploma in General Management” emphasizes Impact Entrepreneurship, and it is designed to enhance the general management skills of individuals who have already obtained a Diploma qualification. It seeks to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to make a meaningful impact on communities by combining world-class business expertise with social and environmental complexities. This NQF 7 qualification is targeted at social and environmental entrepreneurs who wish to expand their personal and professional horizons by gaining a deeper understanding of impact-driven business and improving their overall management capabilities.
The program aims to generate new businesses, jobs, and address social and environmental challenges. It also seeks to meet the sustainability and BBBEE requirements of corporates. Impact entrepreneurs intentionally work towards achieving the SDGs, and the program can help align them if necessary.
The format of this course is part-time over a 10 month period with attendance required for two days per month. Applications for this course close on 28th April 2023.
Tuition fees are R83,995 with a R3,000 non-refundable application fee. A deposit of R20,000 would be payable upon acceptance with the balance to be paid at an agreed time.

- Learn how to formulate and implement a monitoring and evaluation process;
- Consider the options for growing the social enterprise and managing change in yourself, your people and stakeholders.
Minimum requirements to register for programme
- Completed SAQA accredited NQF 6 qualification;
- Minimum of 2 years’ work experience;
- A minimum of Matriculation-certificate-level competence in Mathematics;
- Undergraduate level of intellectual ability (as assessed via the GIBS Entrance Test);
- Leadership potential (in accordance with your letter of motivation and references);
- Good English language skills to actively participate in academic debate;
- Competence in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and a web browser (own laptop essential).
